Save A Lot Collects Food And Donates $1000 To Christian Food Bank!

Here is a perfect example of what makes a small, locally owned business, so special. This week Save A Lot collected food to be donated to the local Christian Food Bank. Shoppers generously donated non-perishable food items, or donated cash for the Christian Food Bank. During the grand finale on Friday, The River 98.9 was on location for the event, broadcasting live. During the final broadcast, Steve and Nathan Nicklas, owners of the local Save-A-Lot, announced that not only would the collected food be donated, but the store was donating $1000.00 to the Christian Food Bank. We are really proud to be partners with this family owned grocery store. (Above, left to right, Steve and Nathan Nicklas, presenting check to Betsy Roberts from the Christian Food Bank)

Special thanks to all those from the community who donated this week. And a special thanks to the local businesses who sponsored the food drive, including Anderson & Kime Real Estate, Ricks Dough Boys, Elk County Collision, Hoss's Steak House, St. Marys Chevrolet, K Of C, Groll's Disposal, Newell Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning, along with Tangled Threads.
