Residents in Brockport are raising concerns over a proposed “trash train” rail line that would transport waste through Elk County.

The project involves a rail line designed to move trash through Horton Township to a landfill located in Fox Township. Community members have expressed opposition for months, citing potential issues with the commercial waste transport, which would cut through both public and private property. Community members have hired an attorney from Washington, D.C., to assist in their efforts to push back against the landfill owner
