All of our programs are FREE to Elk County Families, and there are no income or developmental guidelines required to participate. That’s right it’s free to ANY Family with children (ages very per program) that live in Elk CountyJ If you’d like paper copies of the attached fliers I’d be happy to mail/drop some off to you, just let me know.
1. Parents as Teachers(PAT)
a. Who: ANY Family with children 5 years of age and under in Elk County.
b. What: PAT is an evidence based parent education and family support program. This program is designed to enhance child development through parent education.
c. What is the program from a Parents perspective: “a home visiting program that helps track the development of your child. They bring activities that you can recreate when they leave and help continue your child’s development! They bring resources that are related to our interest and doing things as a family. It's a nice time to spend just focusing on your children.”
d. When/where: Home/Virtual Visits are scheduled at a convenient time and place.
e. Why: PAT is a free program that support and encourages parents throughout their parenting journey.

2. Parents as Teachers Events
a. Coffee & Chit Chat- Parent/Guardian only group
i. Who: ANY Family with children 5 years of age and under in Elk County.
ii. What: Coffee and Chit Chat is a FREE workshop for Elk County families with children 5 years of age and under. Parents/Guardians will have the opportunity to connect with other parents/guardians to discuss a variety of parent/child/family topics. Childcare is available upon request as space is limited.
iii. October Topic: We will have The Mama Coach - Karie Zoschg RN, BSN, CLC share potty training tips.
iv. When/Where: October 13, 2023 from 10am—11am at the Community Education Center in St. Marys.

3. The Children’s Center Calendar
a. What is the Center from a parents perspective:, “an indoor play area where "adulting" takes the back burner and you get to actually sit and play with your kiddos without those other distractions.” Come check it out J
b. This is FREE and open to public of Elk County Families with children 5 years of age and under. On the calendar you will see the days and times we’re open.

What is the Triple P Programs from a Parents Perspective? “A group where parents get together and learn different strategies on how to adjust to their growing child's behaviors. They cover the importance of having support throughout your parenting journey as well as staying consistent with your actions.”
4. Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) Group 0-12
a. Who: Parents/Guardians with children 0-12 years of age in Elk County
b. What: The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program Triple P is an internationally-recognized program that gives parents the skills they need to build strong family relationships, manage misbehavior and prevent problems happening in the first place.
c. When: Next Virtual workshop starting in January. Call to RSVP a spot today!
d. Why: This is a FREE workshop to connect with other parents/guardians through group discussion and video clips.

f. Incentives: Upon completion of the program, each participant will receive a $50 gift card of their choice to Walmart, Sheetz, or Elk County Foods.
