Edmund P. Ambuski, 71, of Dagus Mines, passed away at peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, following a brief illness.
He was born on April 28, 1954 in Tonawanda, NY, a son of the late Casimer and Florence Proverse Ambuski.
On October 1, 1976 in DuBois, PA, he married Darla Reitz, who survives. Together they shared more than 48 years of love and laughter.
Edmund was a graduate of DuBois High School and worked for many years at Penn Pallet. An avid Buffalo Bills fan, Ed could often be found puttering around the house and building a variety of things, with his little dog, Juliette, by his side. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his brother. Ed will be remembered as a wonderful, caring and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
In addition to his wife Darla, he is survived by two children; Chrystal Ambuski and her fiancé Kyle Bray of Kersey, and Edmund Ambuski, Jr., of Idaho; and by his three beloved grandchildren; Savaeh, Derek, and James. He is also survived by one brother; Alex "Jack" (Sharen) Ambuski of Clearfield and one sister; Bernadette Sandler of Wilkes Barre, as well as by two sisters-in-law; Glenda Terwilliger and Debbie Airgood as as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ed was preceded in death by his granddaughter whom he lovingly referred to as "Little Woman", Caitlin Ambuski, and by four siblings; Richard Ambuski, Pauline Robinson, Cathy Smith, and Mary Alice Ambuski.
Visitation will be at the Krise Funeral Home, 339 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 on Monday, May 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services will be held privately with the family.
Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
