State Police Release Details On This Weeks Incident In Bennetts Valley

State Police were called to a location on Bennetts Valley Highway on Tuesday, June 24th when a man called 911. Upon arrival, police report that the man, identified as Jackson Howard, 40, became very aggressive and threatened to harm the first responding trooper. Howard failed to comply with troopers' orders to come outside of his residence and barricaded himself inside. Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team was activated and responded to the scene. Howard was taken int custody and transported to Penn Highlands Dubois for an Involuntary Mental Health Evaluation.


State police were assisted by Jay Township Fire Department, Bennetts Valley Ambulance, Penfield Fire Department, PennDOT District 2, Armserv Dusan Ambulance, American Red Cross and owners of the Big Trout Restaurant and Tavern.
