Carla Wehler, from the Elk Country Visitors Center, has the latest information regarding the investigation into the killing of three Elk, near Medix, in Elk County.
The Keystone Elk Country Alliance, along with Conservation Partners TomBob Outdoors LLC., Benezette Hotel and Benezette Wines recently announced a reward for information relating to the killing of 3 elk in the PA Elk Range shot near Medix, Elk County with a small caliber gun.
The illegally shot elk were a cow, a spike and a Raghorn bull on the Old Fritz Farm located off Dollinger Road northeast of Medix, one half mile. The reward, now at $4,000 was created by KECA with our partners in an effort to bring the individual(s) responsible to justice. These animals were shot Thanksgiving day and left lay. Punishment can include large fines and potential jail time.
