Emporium Man Facing Charges After Police Serve Search Warrant
State police in Emporium reported serving a search warrant in Lumber Township. As a result, police seized drugs and drug paraphernalia. Polce reported charging a known 25-year-old man from Emporium.


Gas Prices On The Rise
Gas prices in the country increased by 51 cents a gallon to $3.48 after the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran. The last time the national average saw that kind of jump was the start of the war in Ukraine in March of 2022, AAA reports. In Pennsylvania, the average price of a gallon of regular gas is even higher: $3.59 on Monday, but far from the peak of $5.07 in June 2022. Organizers of the Sinnemahone Paddle announce items are in place for the annual canoe and kayak event. It will take place Saturday April 11 on the Driftwood Branch of The Sinnemahoning Creek. The starting line is across from the Emporium Country Club and the 11 mile race ends in Driftwood. Emporium Man Charged On PFA Violation And Firearms Violation
State police reported filing charges against a known 25-year-old man from Emporium after serving a search warrant in Lumber Township. According to police, a shotgun was confiscated from the location. Charges are pending.


Legislation Introduced To Bring Property Tax Relief To Residents
Rep. Jeff Olsommer (R-Wayne/Pike) has introduced legislation, House Bill 2153, that would require any increase in property tax revenue from the construction of new data centers within a school district be used exclusively to fund additional Homestead/Farmstead property tax relief for district residents. “Pennsylvania has become an increasingly attractive location for data centers due to its energy infrastructure, available land and proximity to major markets,” Olsommer stated


Harassments Incident Investigated In Cameron County
State police were called to investigate an incident of harassment on East 4th Street. According to police two females were involved in a verbal altercation. The investigation continues. In a separate incident, a known 35-year-old female and 41-year-old female, both from Emporium, were determined to be in a verbal argument on East 2nd Street. The investigation is ongoing.


Police Investigate PFA Violation In Emporium
State police investigated a report of a PFA Violation on Poplar Street in Emporium. As a result, a known 17-year-old male from St. Marys is facing charges.

Lady Crusaders Defeat Union-New Castle To Advance In Playoffs
Elk County Catholic got 18 points from Lena Polaski to beat visiting Union (New Castle), 40-31, in the opening round of the PIAA Class 1A girls’ playoffs. NPRC Partnering for Youth Art Classes in Cameron County Beginning In April
