Driftwood Playground Cornhole Tournament September 19th
The Driftwood Playground Cornhole Tournament will be held on Saturday, September 19th at the Driftwood Playground on Driftwood Avenue. Cost is $40 per team. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. City Police Report Numerous DUI Traffic Stops
City police reported conducting a traffic stop on South Michael Street and Brusselles Street. After investigation, Amanda Marie Nussbaum, 38, of St Marys received charges for DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and related traffic offenses. AG Sunday, State College Police Announce Charges Against 14 People in Cocaine Trafficking Ring Involving Penn State U. Students, Fraternities

Elk County Coroner Michelle A. Muccio is releasing the following information in regards to a death that occurred on Sunday, August 16, 2026 in Johnsonburg, Elk County. Dominic Petruzzi, 43, of Coudersport, PA, was found deceased near a boat launch on the Ridgway-Johnsonburg Road in Johnsonburg, PA. E. Francis Patterson, 84, of Ridgway, died on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Penn Highlands Dubois following a brief illness. He was born on July 27, 1942, in Margaret, PA, a son of the late Robert and Agnes Hill Patterson. On July 2, 1966, in Ridgway, he married Patricia DeGroat, who survives.
