Sandra Jean Bush, 85 of 295 Ridgmont Drive, Ridgway passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Pinecrest Manor. She was born on November 13, 1940 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Gerg) Foringer. On January 31, 1959, she married the late Richard Bush, Sr., who preceded her in death on February 25, 2004. She is survived by one son; Richard E. (Kim) Bush, Jr., one daughter; Tammy Jean (Dick) Bodenhorn, both of Ridgway, and by her Fiancé; Larry "Zeke" Shipe


Wayne M. “Moose” Eckert, 84, St. Marys
Wayne M. “Moose” Eckert, 84, of 151 Jackson Road, St. Marys, unexpectedly passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Penn Highlands DuBois, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 18, 1942, in St. Marys, son of the late Richard J. and Helen Vollmer Eckert. Moose was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1960. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served as a Military Policeman.

PennDOT Announces Pipe Replacement in Benezette Township Begins Monday, August 17th
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that a pipe replacement will begin on Monday, August 17, in Benezette Township, Elk County. Completing this pipe replacement, which is located between Dieble and Losey roads, will prepare the road for future surface improvements.
