Russell H. Kantner, 63, of Emporium, PA, passed away at his residence on Friday morning, August 21, 2026, following a lengthy illness with a glioblastoma. He was born June 17, 1963, in St. Marys, PA, a son of the late Donald and Marie Bellis Kantner. Russ graduated from Cameron County High School with the Class of 1981. He continued his education at Penn State University, where he wrote for the student newspaper, The Daily Collegian, and earned a bachelor's degree in English,


Sally Jo Lund, 89, Ridgway
Sally Jo Lund, 89, of Ridgway, died on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Pinecrest Manor Nursing Home. She was born on March 6, 1937 in Ridgway, a daughter of the late John A. and Emogene Lund. She is survived by her sister Jeanne McGaughey, and Jeanne's four adult children. In accordance with Sally's wishes, there will be no public ceremony. Burial has taken place at Thayer Cemetery. If you knew Sally, the best way to remember her is to sit in your garden and enjoy the sunshine.
