15th Annual ECC Golf Scramble Set For July 5th


The 15th Annual Elk County Catholic High School Athletic Association Golf Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, July 5th. The tournament will be played at the Leaning Pines Golf Course in St. Marys.


The tournament format is a 4-person scramble and is open to all area golf enthusiasts. The event benefits the Elk County Catholic High School Athletic Association whose mission is to provide funding for the Interscholastic Athletic Program at the school.


This annual event draws teams of all golfing abilities and was established as a day of fun, fellowship, and prizes. Prizes are awarded to the top teams and skill prizes are awarded to the best individual shots on a number of holes. Other prizes are awarded for shots requiring less skill and door prizes are awarded.


Plans for this year’s tournament once again include a morning session and an afternoon session and teams may elect an 8:15 AM start or 1:15 PM start. The field is open to the first thirty teams to register. Fifteen teams will participate in the morning session and fifteen teams will participate in the afternoon session. Lunch and refreshments will be provided between 12-2 PM.


Entry fee is only $45.00 for Leaning Pines members and $65.00 for nonmembers. Team / Business sponsorship is also available. Business sponsorship is $375.00 and includes team entry, skins, Mulligans, and a Hole Sponsorship. Other donations will be gladly accepted.
