The 3rd annual Fishing Derby at Benzinger Park will be held on Sunday, April 19th

Pre-registration is not required, but is highly encouraged to make it easier for our derby volunteers!

Cast a line and join the fun at the 3rd Annual Fishing Derby!

Bring the kids and enjoy a morning of outdoor excitement at Benzinger Park. This community favorite invites young anglers of all skill levels to test their luck, reel in some fish, and compete for prizes—all while making great memories by the water.

Participants will compete for trophies and prizes, including Largest Fish, Total Inches of Three Fish (by age group), and First Fish Caught. Age divisions include 5 & under, 6–10, and 11–15, so everyone has a fair shot at winning.

Kids will enjoy FREE hot dogs, chips, and drinks, and families are encouraged to bring their own fishing pole, tackle, and bait. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and all state fishing regulations apply. Participation is limited to one pole and one hook per angler.

Whether your child is casting for the first time or already loves fishing, this event is a perfect way to celebrate spring, enjoy the outdoors, and be part of a growing community tradition.
