Armanini Says Energy Committee's Priorities Are Misguided

This week’s House Energy Committee meeting was very frustrating, particularly because House Democrats would not advance the Ratepayer Protection Act. This measure authored by Rep. Craig Williams (R-Chester/Delaware) would require data center developers to provide their own source of electric generation (rather than overburdening the regional grid) among other things.

The Democrats’ committee chairwoman even made a comment about Pennsylvanians needing to suffer with high energy costs this winter. It seems tone deaf to the problems that could be addressed with the Ratepayer Protection Act.
