Cameron and Elk County Hunters Busy at Rolfe Beagle Club’s Statewide Coyote and Fox Hunt or Trap

Patrick Uber, well-known predator hunter from Cameron County, brought both a fox and a coyote to Rolfe’s Weigh Station for the Statewide Hunt or Trap. Pat shoots a .22-.250 rifle with a thermal scope, and uses an electronic Fox Pro call. He harvested a male red fox that weighed in at 9.4# from private lands in Cameron County. He followed that up with a male, 30.4#, coyote on another stand also on private lands in Cameron County.
Isaac Dellaquilla, part of the father-son Dellaquilla predator hunting team brought a large male red fox, 10.0#, to the Weigh Station. Isaac harvested the fox on private lands in Elk County at 12:15 am on Saturday. Isaac shoots a .243 rifle with a thermal scope and uses an electronic call.

Hunters are reminded that if they choose to participate during the second weekend of this hunt or trap from 2/20-22, they must have their registration postmarked by Thursday, 2/19.
Weigh-in is at 4:00 p.m. every day. Categories include coyote, fox, largest female coyote, and largest female fox. Additional information at the Facebook Page, Rolfe Beagle Club.
