Charges Pending Against Ridgway Man After Traffic Accident

State police investigated a traffic accident on the Ridgway-Johnsonburg Road. While conducting an interview with the driver, a known 48-year-old man from Ridgway, troopers noticed the man disposing of a controlled substance in the snow. A search was conducted as the man attempted to conceal items. In total, 19 bags of suspected methamphetamine and 26 suspected fentanyl pills were seized. The man, identified as William Dowd, 48, of Ridgway was arrested. Charges are pending lab results.
