Charles D. Wilson, 75, of Ridgway, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Jefferson Manor Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
He was born on December 30, 1950, in Dubois, the son of the late Doyle and Hazel Fletcher Wilson.
On July 3, 1971, he married the late Sally M. Burrs, who preceded him in death on March 29, 2016.
Charles enjoyed a fulfilling career at Motion Control, retiring after more than 30 years of committed service. Charles was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR, often spending weekends cheering for his teams. He was particularly proud of his time spent as a pit crew member at the McKean County Raceway, where his love for cars and racing shone brightly.
Charles was a proud father to his son, Bill, and treasured every moment spent with his beloved granddaughters, who brought him immeasurable joy. His legacy will live on in their laughter and in the cherished memories they created together.
He is survived by a son, Bill Wilson and his wife Angela of Newville, PA, and 2 granddaughters, Anna and Ava. He is also survived by a mother-in-law, Veronica Burrs of Johnsonburg, a sister-in-law, Jeanine (Larry) Allegretto of Rasselas, 3 brother-in-laws: George Renaud of Johnsonburg, John (Lynn) Burrs of Erie, and Butch Burrs of Keating Summit, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Roy, Albert (Nancy), and twin brother William Wilson, a father in law, James Burrs, a sister-in-law, Sue Renaud, 2 nephews, Eric and Jason Cook, and a aunt, Royal Clair.
A Graveside Service for Charles D. Wilson will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Leo Cemetery, Montmorenci Road, Ridgway, PA 15853.
There will be no public visitation.
