City Police & K9 Officer Draco Present Program At Dickinson Center

Dickinson Center, Inc. community-based staff participated in an in-person drug awareness training held on March 17, 2026, in the newly renovated Journey Health System Training Center located at DCI. The training was conducted by City of St. Marys Police Department K9 unit, featuring K9 officer Draco, Chief of Police Mike Shaffer and Sergeant Pistner.
The session provided staff with up-to-date information on current drug trends, along with guidance for safety and effectively engaging consumers in their home and community settings. Officers shared relevant field experiences to enhance learning, and staff were given the opportunity to view examples of drugs, drug paraphernalia, and law enforcement evidence.
