ECC Over Cameron County, Dutch Sweep Kane
Elk County Catholic defeated Cameron County, 35-20, using the Northern Tier scoring system Thursday at Emporium Country Club.
Cameron County’s Donavan Palumbo earned medalist honors with a 39.
Landon Smith led the Crusaders with a 41, followed by Noah Lion with a 43. Nick Chamberlin, Jeremiah Nicklas and Brayden Barnett each shot 45, while Konnor Meyer carded a 48 and Paxton Herzing a 51.
ST. MARYS SWEEPS KANE, BROCKWAY IN TRI-MEET
ST. MARYS, Pa. — St. Marys split its lineup into two squads and came away with a pair of victories over Kane and Brockway.
The Dutch Blue Team defeated Kane, 164-170, while the Dutch Red Team topped Brockway, 171-178.
Kai Caskey earned medalist honors in the match with Kane, firing an even-par 36. He was the only golfer in either match to break 40.
