Elk County Receives Funds To Upgrade Traffic Signals

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that 86 municipalities across the Commonwealth will receive $38 million through the Green Light-Go Program to improve traffic safety and mobility by reducing congestion and improving traffic flow. Since Governor Shapiro took office, $134 million has been distributed to municipalities through the program, and over 1,700 traffic signals have been upgraded.
Elk County
Ridgeway Borough: $100,120 to modernize the traffic signal infrastructure along Main Street. Intersections include:
Montmorenci Avenue/Gillis Avenue.
Elk Avenue.
Mill Avenue.
North Broad Street/South Broad Street.
City of St. Mary’s: $100,800 for traffic signal modernization in the city at the following intersections:·
Washington Street and 4th Street.
North Michael Street/Center Street/North Saint Mary’s Street/Washington Street.
South Saint Mary’s Street and:
State Street.
Decker Chapel Road/Tractor Supply Driveway
Comfort Lane/St. Mary’s Area HS/MS Drive.
Ford Road/Private Drive.
Haller Road/Plaza Drive.
Private Driveway/Vine Street.
East Arch Street/West Arch Street.
