Fun Friday Kicks Off Summer Events in Cameron County

New events are coming to Cameron County in the summer of 2026. Fun Friday replaces Second Saturday. When the volunteers that organized Second Saturdays for the past few years retired the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce picked up the vacancies. “We recognize that having events draw people to the area and create a positive atmosphere,” says chamber executive director Tina Solak.

The first event kicks off on June 19. The chamber staff deliberately picked the date since it is a federal and state holiday. Anytime there is a long weekend, the population of the county swells with visitors. Two events are planned for that night showing off Sinnemahoning and Emporium.

Motorcycle enthusiasts and jeepers are encouraged to travel the roads/trails and enjoy dinner and music at the Sinnemahoning Playground/ball field at the intersection of Wykoff Run Road and Route 120. “That location was specifically selected since Wykoff Run Road is a popular route and highlighted by the tourist promotion group Pennsylvania Great Outdoors,” according to Solak. Sinnemahoning Tavern and The Willows will have food for sale on site, Nam Knights of America Allegheny Mountain Chapter will sell beverages and Vinny and the Mudflaps from Bradford will perform. The event runs from 4pm-8pm.

Later that night a free outdoor movie will be shown in downtown Emporium. Monster Inc will entertain families. Prior to the start of the movie, attendees can enjoy lawn games, popcorn and ice cream from Brandy Camp Creamery. The event starts at 8pm with the movie to be shown around 8:45.

Other Funn Fridays are scheduled for July and August. Follow on Facebook Cameron County Chamber of Commerce & Artisan Center for up to date information.
