Future Voltage Starts Here: K–3 Volleyball Clinic Debuts with Big Smiles and Big Energy

The future of volleyball was on full display this weekend as Voltage Volleyball Club hosted its first-ever K–3 Volleyball Clinic, and by all accounts, it was a tremendous success.

Going into the day, Josh Burrs, director of Voltage Volleyball Club, wasn’t quite sure what to expect. Introducing volleyball to athletes as young as kindergarten can be unpredictable, but any uncertainty quickly disappeared once the gym filled with laughter, movement, and excitement. From the first drill to the final high-five, the energy in the gym made it clear the clinic was something special.

The young athletes embraced the opportunity to learn the basics of volleyball in a fun, age-appropriate environment. Activities focused on movement, coordination, teamwork, and confidence, all while keeping the experience engaging and enjoyable.

Just as impactful was the involvement of Voltage’s older players, who volunteered their time to assist throughout the clinic. Their leadership, encouragement, and positive attitudes helped create a welcoming atmosphere and provided positive role models for the younger participants.

Following the success of the inaugural clinic, Voltage Volleyball Club has added two additional K–3 clinics to the calendar, scheduled for January 25 and February 8.

The clinic series reflects the club’s ongoing commitment to growing the sport locally while creating positive experiences for athletes of all ages. By emphasizing fundamentals, fun, and community, the program aims to spark a lifelong love of volleyball at an early age.
