Household Hazardous Waste Collection Saturday, August 23rd from 9 a.m. to Noon

It's the weekend....have you started putting together items for Household Hazardous Waste collection next Saturday? Remember, the collection is the 23rd from 9 a.m. to noon here at the recycling center.

Each year since 2005 the county has sponsored a one-day household hazardous waste collection. In 2010 we made managing this waste a bit easier by providing an ongoing collection for oil-based coatings and pesticides (see link to paint/pesticide collection), however there are still items that must be handled by a hazardous waste company. Products such as gasoline and kerosene, gas/oil mixes, cleaners, chemicals, and other household chemicals must be managed by a hazardous waste company.
