Jeanne F. Sheetz, 62, Kersey

Jeanne F. Sheetz, 62, of Kersey, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Allegheny General Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born on April 30, 1964, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Gerald, Sr. and Flora Merritt Carr.

On June 30, 2004, she married Donald Sheetz, who survives.

Jeanne dedicated many years working at Metaldyne, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kindness to those around her. Outside of work, she found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a deep love for planting and flowers, always taking pride in creating beauty around her. She especially enjoyed her trips to Benezette to see the elk, a place that brought her both peace and happiness. Some of her favorite moments were spent at camp with her family and out on the boat.

Above all, her greatest joy came from her family. Jeanne treasured every moment spent with them, and her love for her grandchildren was truly special. They were the light of her life, and she found endless happiness in watching them grow.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Melissa O'Donnell and her husband Daniel of St. Marys, 3 stepchildren; Paul Sheetz and his wife Elizabeth of Kersey, Amber Cable of Brockway, and Mike Sheetz and his wife Stephanie of NY, 9 grandchildren; Ashley, Sadie, Jasimine, Eric, Lee, Gavin, Xander, Mikol, and Kamryn, 1 great granddaughter, Emberlynn. She is also survived by her brother, Davey Carr of Kersey, and a special niece, Elizabeth, and a special nephew, Bernard (Donna) Carr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Carr, Jr.

A Funeral Service for Jeanne F. Sheetz will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Krise Funeral Home, 339 Main Street, Kersey, PA, 15846, with Rev. Melissa Smith officiating.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday at Krise Funeral Home from 11:30 until the time of service.

Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
