John Lovett, SMASD Police Officer Retires

August 29th marked the final walk through the halls for School Police Officer, John Lovett.

For years, Officer Lovett has gone above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of every student and staff member. His presence has brought a sense of calm, trust, and respect to our building, and his care for our school community has never gone unnoticed. Whether it was offering a word of encouragement, lending a helping hand, or standing watch to keep us safe, Officer Lovett has always put our students and staff first.

He has been more than just an officer—he’s been a mentor, a role model, a friend, and a true pillar of support in our school.

To honor Officer Lovett and show our appreciation, let us line the halls as he takes one final walk through the building. This is our chance to thank him for his endless hard work, his loyalty, and his service to St. Marys Area High School.
