Johnsonburg Over ECC, Cameron County Wins

Parker Calla’s was instrumental in leading Johnsonburg to the first-ever D9 Central League boys’ title with a 48-42 win over Elk County Catholic at St. Marys High School.
Jack Breindel had a game-high 25 points, and Simbeck added 14 for the Crusaders.
The Rams will open with a first-round home game against Northern Potter at 7 p.m. Wednesday. ECC, which gets a bye, will face the winner of Wednesday’s Cameron County/Otto-Eldred game in the semifinals on Feb. 24.
CAMERON COUNTY 47, PORT ALLEGANY 38
BRADFORD, Pa. – Tied with top-seeded Port Allegany at halftime, second-seeded Cameron County used a 17-6 third-quarter advantage to grab its second straight NTL tournament crown, 47-38, over the Gators at Bradford High School.
Cameron County is the No. 4 seed in Class 1A and hosts Otto-Eldred at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
