You can use money to fight loneliness, but only if you spend it on experiences and not things. Spending money on experiences, as opposed to things, decreases loneliness. When people focus more on doing

rather than having, they not only get more satisfaction, but also feel more connected to other people. Feelings of connection make people want to engage in social activities, which reduces their loneliness.
