Margaret M. Floravit, 93, St. Marys

Margaret M. Floravit, 93, formerly of N. Saint Marys Rd., passed away at Elk Haven on Nursing Home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Saint Marys, PA.

She was born on March 29, 1932, in Saint Marys, PA, a daughter of the late August and Magdalene Hoffman Werneth.

On October 25, 1952, she married Thomas Floravit, who predeceased her on October 16, 2009. Together they shared almost 57 years of marriage.

Margaret was a graduate of Central High School. She was a proud homemaker, Margaret enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. In her free time, Margaret loved playinng bingo with her son Bobby. She also found joy in playing cards, doing word puzzles, watching Gun Smoke, and baking. Margaret could often be found outdoors where she enjoyed doing yard work. She will always be remembered for how passionate she was about religion.

Margaret is survived by 6 children; Linda (Dave) Hoffman, Allen (Karen) Floravit, Debbie Zuchowski, Ron (Darlene) Floravit, Eugene (Charlotte) Floravit, and James (Lynn) Floravit, all of St. Marys; and by her many granchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and spouse, Margaret was preceded in death by her son; Robert "Bobby" Floravit, by her grandson; Tim Floravit, two brothers; August Werneth Jr. and Clarence Werneth, three sisters; Martha Pistner, Mary Herzing, and Magdalena Amacher.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Margaret M. Floravit will be celebrated on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 12:00 PM at St. Marys Catholic Church, 315 Church St. Saint Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Ignatius Camello as celebrant.

Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in St. Marys, PA.

A visitation will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 151 N. Michael St. Saint Marys, PA, on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
