Matthew G. Geer, 38, St. Marys

Matthew G. Geer, 38, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in St. Marys, PA.

He was born on April 29, 1987, in Ridgway, PA, a son of Bertil Geer and the late Geraldine Lenze Geer.

On October 25, 2014 in Ridgway, PA, he married Tiera Lombrana Geer, who survives. Together they shared nearly 11 years of love, laughter, and marriage.

Matt was a graduate of Elk County Catholic High School and received his associate's degree from Penn State University. Matt spent most of his working career at Straub Brewery. He was a huge sports fan and could often be found watching football or a Pirates game, but he was mostly known for being a fanatic for the NC Tarhill Basketball team. Matt's other hobbies including going camping and shooting a good game of pool. He was also known as being a huge Led Zepplin fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends most of all and will always be remembered for being a people person.

In addition to his wife Tiera and his father Bertil, he is survived by two brothers; Jake Geer and Alex Geer, both of St. Marys.

A Memorial Service for Matthew Geer will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, St. Marys, PA 15817 with Fr. Jeffery Noble officiating.

Family and friends will be received at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 11:00 AM until the time of service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elk County Catholic School System.
