Michael A. Caggiano Jr., 91, Ridgway

Michael A. Caggiano Jr., 91, of Ridgway, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at his residence.

He was born on May 24, 1934, in Ridgway, the son of the late Michael and Susie Nappe Caggianno.

On September 24,1954, in Brooklyn, NY, he married the late Carmela Galante, who preceded him in death on August 20, 2013.

Mike was a proud graduate of Ridgway High School, Class of 1952. After high school, he built a fulfilling career in sales and quality control at the Ridgway Color Company and Allegheny Color. An avid sports enthusiast, Mike was a passionate New York Yankees fan, never missing a game and often sharing his love for baseball with those around him. In addition to his sports fandom, he found joy in golfing, taking leisurely walks around town, and reading.

He is survived by 7 children; Lorraine (Michael) Benedict, Maureen (Steve) Martin, Camille Caggiano, Michael (Jennifer) Caggiano, Gregory (Shelly) Caggiano, Pamela (Dan) Freeburg, and Anthony (Deborah) Caggiano, 20 grandchildren; Maria Inks, Danielle Fisher, Sean Martin, Steven Martin, Kim Carter, Krystal Klebine, Joseph Klebine, Anna Klebine, Jillian Caggiano, Claire Caggiano, Taylor Pitkin, John Fuge, Zoe Caggiano, Ryan Caggiano, Ryan Weis, Kayla McDermott, Benjamin Freeburg, Jefferson Freeburg, Marc Caggiano, and Troy Caggiano, and 16 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Caroline Lyle and Marie McGill.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent Caggiano.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael A. Caggiano will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Leo Magnus Church, 111 Depot Street, Ridgway, PA 15853, with Fr. Justin Pino officiating.

Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday at St. Leo Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
