More School Funding Needed

Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro wants more "adequacy funding" targeted to underfunded schools in Pennsylvania, citing, among other things, higher test scores and increased graduation rates linked to past infusions. But Republican state Treasurer Stacy Garrity, who's challenging Shapiro in this election, has called his approach "irresponsible and reckless," while advocating for participation in a federal program that funds scholarships for private and public school expenses.
