North Clarion Defeats Cameron County In Basketball Playoffs

Behind 16 points from freshman Ethan Walter, North Clarion beat Cameron County, 54-36, in the District 9 Class 1A boys’ third-place game at DuBois.
Nick Goss hit four 3-pointers and scored 13 points for Cameron County, while Malakai Zucal added eight points.
North Clarion will travel to District 5 runner-up Turkeyfoot Valley on Friday, March 6, while Cameron County will travel to District 5 champion Forbes Road, also on March 6.

CLARION, Pa. – Digging itself a hole that turned out to be too much to dig out off, Clearfield saw its season end with a 57-34 loss to Obama Academy in the District 8/9 Class 4A subregional at PennWest Clarion’s Tippin Gym.
PORT ALLEGANY 62, MONITEAU 51
Thanks to a 62-51 win over Moniteau in the District 9 Class 2A third-place game at DuBois High School on Friday night, Port Allegany is headed to the PIAA playoffs in hoops for just the fourth time in school history and for the first time in 30 years.
