Nussbaum Weighs-in at Rolfe Beagle Club’s Statewide Coyote and Crow Hunt

ree

Brady Nussbaum brought his first coyote of this year into the weigh station at the Rolfe Beagle Club for their 10-day, Statewide, Coyote Hunt. Brady harvested a 17.0# male, young-of-the-year, coyote while hunting private lands in eastern Elk County. Brady hunts with a .243 rifle, a thermal scope and a Fox Pro call. Brady harvested his coyote near 9:15 p.m.

Paul Costanzo, a regular at the Rolfe coyote weigh station, brought in two more coyotes on 9/4 and 9/5 – a 30.2# female and a 12.0 # male coyote. Paul was hunting adjacent to SR 948 in northern Elk County on private lands near 4:00 a.m. and caught this female coyote out in a field. About the same time of the morning the next day in another section of Elk County Paul used a mouth call to bring a 12.0# young-of-the-year male coyote out of the woods into the field.

Paul shoots a .223 AR with a thermal scope. These two coyotes were Pauls’ 6th and 7th for this hunt.

Hunters are reminded that Rolfe Beagle Club’s Predator Hunt or Trap will take place over two weekends in February.
