Penn Highlands DuBois and Penn Highlands Life’s Journey OB/GYN to Host Free Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings October 19th

Penn Highlands DuBois and Penn Highlands Life’s Journey OB/GYN are partnering to host a free breast and cervical cancer screening event on Monday, October 19, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The screenings will take place at the Breast Care Services suite, located in the Penn Highlands DuBois Center of Excellence, 123 Hospital Avenue, in DuBois, PA.

Eligible individuals, with and without health insurance, can receive a free clinical breast exam, mammogram, pelvic exam and Pap smear.

The event is focused on promoting women’s health, encouraging early detection and raising awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Early detection through regular screenings remains one of the most effective tools in diagnosing and treating breast and cervical cancers in their earliest, most treatable stages.

“Routine screenings are critical to protecting women’s health, yet cost and accessibility often create barriers that prevent people from getting the care they need,” said Ashley Parsons, MSN, FNP, NP-C, IBCLC, a certified registered nurse practitioner at Penn Highlands Life’s Journey OB/GYN. “Events like this ensure that everyone in our community has access to essential preventive care and life-saving health resources.”
