Pennsylvania Bill Aims To Curb ATV, Dirtbike Use On Roadways

A Pennsylvania lawmaker is reintroducing legislation to curb the unlawful use of ATVs and dirtbikes on urban roadways.
Sen. Nick Miller’s (D-14) bill, introduced last session as Senate Bill 834, aims to broaden the provisions of Act 92 of 2022, which addressed unlawful operations of ATVs and off-road vehicles in urban areas, according to the memo.
The bill, which further amends Title 75 to add ATVs and dirt bikes to Section 3733 regarding fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer. The memo said it also adds ATVs and dirt bikes to Section 3746, enhancing penalties for subsequent reckless driving offenses and for persons acting and driving recklessly while in groups.
