Going shopping used to be known as “retail therapy” because research has shown that traditional brick-and-mortar shopping can ease sadness and give people a sense of control. You don’t get the same benefits
from shopping online. Mental health experts say that shopping online stresses you out because it overwhelms your brain with an endless number of choices.
