Richard F. Luzier, 70, St. Marys

Richard F. Luzier, 70, of 949 Fern Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 17, 2026.

He was born August 1, 1955, in St. Marys, son of the late Richard E. and Anita T. Gavazzi Luzier. He was a lifelong resident of the area, a graduate of Ridgway High School, and retired from Pure Carbon Company in 2007. Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, where he served during the Vietnam War.

On July 24, 1982, in Queen of the World Church, he married Carol Ross, who survives. They were blessed to share forty-three years of marriage.

In addition to his loving wife, Richard is survived by his daughter, Melissa Luzier of St. Marys and his son, Richard Luzier (Jenn) of DuBois. Also surviving are his two sisters, Cheryl Kotalac (Bill) of Daguscahonda and Debbie Luzier of Marietta, OH.

Richard found joy gathering with family and friends, especially around the smoker or grill sharing good food, stories, and laughter. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and the people he loved the most. His loyalty, kindness, and sense of camaraderie will be missed by all those who knew him.

Services for Richard will be held privately by his family.
