Roberta A. “Bobbie Ann” Simpson, age 78, of Mill Street, Johnsonburg, PA, died August 21, 2025 at the Lutheran Home of Kane, PA, after a short illness. A daughter of the late Robert and Esther (DeLullo) Ross, she was born on March 6, 1947 in St. Marys, PA. On October 31, 1992 she married Charles “Chuck” Simpson, who survives at home.
Along with her husband, Bobbie Ann is survived by: a brother, Daniel Ross of Johnsonburg; a sister-in-law, Sandy Ross of Johnsonburg; a brother-in-law, Leo (Loretta Feronti) Simpson of Johnsonburg; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Bobbie Ann was predeceased by: a brother, William Ross.
Bobbie Ann graduated Johnsonburg High School in 1965. She worked at Grant’s Department Store for several years in her youth and retired from Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital Finance Department after thirty eight years. She was a member of Central Hose Company where she served twenty years as Bookkeeper. She was also a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and past member of the Johnsonburg Library Board. She lived all her life in Johnsonburg, enjoying travelling and spending her free time with family and friends.
Public visitation will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home of Johnsonburg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held, 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 25, 2025 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Johnsonburg, PA, with Father David Wilson, celebrant.
Interment will take place in the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery of Johnsonburg.
The family suggests memorials to the Johnsonburg Library, the Johnsonburg Community Center or the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
