SGL Carbon Investing $100 Million Into St. Marys Facility
An SGL Carbon official celebrated the announcement as a milestone achieved after four years of effort at the plant.
“Today was truly a celebration of all the work that this site has gone through over the last four years,” the official said.
A government representative emphasized the regional and national significance of the investment, highlighting the role of local manufacturing in energy security.
“Investment here, right here in Pennsylvania is important,” the official said. “Because, you know, we’re seeing the next generation of American nuclear energy take shape right here. SGL Carbon is a great example that we have American workers making American products and strengthening America’s supply chain right here in Pennsylvania.”
An SGL Carbon representative expressed confidence in the company’s technical capabilities and future position in high-tech markets.
