The St. Marys Area United Way extends its sincere appreciation to Nichols Portland, Inc. (NPI) for its generous corporate contribution and continued commitment to strengthening the communities where its employees live and work.

NPI’s generosity demonstrates the important role local businesses play in supporting the health and human service needs of our region. Through partnerships with businesses like Nichols Portland, the United Way and its partner agencies can continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families throughout the communities we serve.

For 2026, the St. Marys Area United Way has once again established a campaign goal of $200,000. In 2025, thanks to the generosity of local businesses, employees, Leadership Donors, and individual supporters, the United Way exceeded its goal, raising an impressive $208,076. This total included $90,409 in contributions from Leadership Donors, individuals who contribute $500 or more annually, $86,765 in corporate donations, and $19,301 through employee payroll contributions. Additional support included $7,367 in individual donations, $4,204 in commercial donations, and $30 in memorial contributions.

In addition to its corporate generosity, Nichols Portland recently launched the first phase of its voluntary United Way Payroll Deduction Program, offering employees a convenient opportunity to contribute personally and make an even greater impact in their communities.

NPI’s commitment to community involvement reflects its dedication to corporate responsibility and its values as an Employer of Choice. By encouraging both corporate and employee giving, Nichols Portland is demonstrating how businesses and their employees can work together to create lasting, positive change.
