It was a long day for the St. Marys Major Softball All Stars. First, the team had to wait until 7:45 p.m. last night for the game to start after an extended rain delay. The game was to originally start at 12:30 p.m.
The St. Marys team ran into an offensive juggernaut in West Suburban. They defeated St. Marys in the first game, 13=1. Then, by the same score, topped the All Stars from St. Marys in the "If necessary" game that followed.
We congratulate our girls on a wonderful run. Gary Mitchell and the River 98.9 were proud to be able to broadcast the games for the folks back home.
