Timothy Howard Mosier, 63, of Dagus Mines, Pa., passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, surrounded by family.
He faced his struggle with cancer with quiet strength.
Tim was born in St. Marys on August 14, 1962, to the late William and Joanne (McAllister) Mosier.
He graduated from St. Marys Area High School in 1980 and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Coast Guard at Station Alexandria Bay, N.Y., from 1980 to 1985. He spent many years working at American Axle & Manufacturing, where he worked long hours, including double shifts and weekends. He looked forward to retirement and the opportunity to enjoy more time on his own terms, but that was not to be.
In his younger years, Tim enjoyed hunting both small and big game and spending time outdoors. He also valued time with friends, especially when it meant being outside and enjoying simple moments together.
Like his father, Tim had a passion for woodworking and created many beautiful pieces for family and friends. He also loved to cook, particularly when it came to barbecuing, and took great pride in preparing meals to share with those he cared about. Quiet in nature, Tim had a sharp wit and a dry sense of humor that was perfectly timed. He was easy to be around, a good listener, and someone whose presence brought a sense of calm. He had a deep appreciation for music—especially blues-rock—and was passionate about perfecting sound quality. He enjoyed artists like Gov’t Mule and Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies, and he was happiest when sharing great music with others.
Tim is survived by his siblings: Kirk (Barb) Mosier of Morris, Pa.; Sam (Kathy) Mosier of Curwensville, Pa.; Sally (Kevin) Zani of Kersey, Pa.; Nancy (Tom) Metz of Ringgold, Ga.; Craig (Michele) Mosier of South Riding, Va.; and brother-in-law Harry Malburg of Indiana, Pa.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Ryan Malburg, Cassandra Mosier, Nicholas Malburg, Jacob Metz, Abigail Steffey, David Metz, Sarah Mosier, William Mosier, Taylor Zook, Cecilia Zook, Reed Metz, Ashton Metz, and Loralei Malburg.
In addition to his parents, Tim was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Malburg, and a niece, Emily (Malburg) Zook.
A Memorial Service for Timothy H. Mosier will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at 1:00 PM with Fr. Jeffery Noble, officiating.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Fox Township Burial Detail.
Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
