Vincent J. Redmond, 68, Johnsonburg

Vincent J. Redmond, 68, of 315 Farmwood Lane, Rock Hill, SC, and formerly of Johnsonburg, passed away Friday January 30, 2026, at his home following a lengthy illness.


Vince was born Aug. 3, 1957, in St. Marys, a son to the late Stanley “Patsy” Redmond, Jr. and the late Leah Dornisch Redmond. On June 21, 1980, in Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, he married Tracie E. McCabe and she survives.


Vince grew up in Johnsonburg and was a graduate of Johnsonburg Area High School. He had been employed by Pyramid Builders in Ridgway for a number of years before working for Redmond Brothers Ready Mix Concrete, owned by his father and uncle. He then owned and operated his own concrete business. Vince had also worked at the Domtar Paper Mill (formerly Weyerhaeuser) in Johnsonburg and the Domtar Sheeter Plant in DuBois. He then moved to Rock Hill, SC in 2004 and was employed as a truck driver. He enjoyed being around family and friends and getting into a “good conversation” with anyone he met.


Besides his wife at home, Vince is survived by his daughter, Kristy Wisman and her long-time companion Keith Barrett, and two grandsons, Ryan and Landon Wisman of West Augusta, VA, He is also survived by siblings Diane Kaveney (Denny) of St. Marys, and Steve Redmond (Sandi) of Lilburn, GA and by many nieces and nephews.


In addition to his parents, Vince was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cameron Rae Wisman.


A funeral service for Vincent J. Redmond will be conducted at a later date and time and will be announced by the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg.
