Weekend Events Around The Region

The annual Sinnemahone Ultra Trail Run set for Saturday October 18. The event includes three distances from which competitors can select. The 50k, 25k, and 12k will be take place primarily on Elk State Forest land. The start and finish remain on the West Creek Recreational Trail, and 5 aid stations will have refreshments and a representative from Mountaineer Search & Rescue to maintain radio contact in case of any emergencies

The annual Haunted Forest will be held at Benzinger Park on October 17th and 18th from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The entry fee is $5. The event is hosted by the St Marys Area chamber of Commerce, Storybook Swets and St. Marys Parks and Recreation.

The Elk County Council on the Arts (ECCOTA) is thrilled to announce a stunning new exhibition featuring the encaustic artwork of local artist Merry Ryding. The show opens October 13 and runs through November 14 at the ECCOTA Gallery in Ridgway.

Cameron County Halloween events kick off Saturday, October 18th, when The Willows Bar and Restaurant host a Halloween Jeep/Costume Cruise In. This is the third year for the event which will begin at 11am and conclude at The Willows Bar and Restaurant at 3pm with live music.

The Annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Float will be held on Saturday, October 18th. The event is sponsored by, Parker Dam State Park and Friends of Parker Dam State Park.

We will have local arts and crafts vendors as well as heritage and educational activities for all ages to join in on. Fall Fest will be in the day use area from 12PM to 5PM.
