Attorney General Dave Sunay Announces $18 Million Dollar Settlement With 23andMe

Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday just announced an $18 million national settlement with the genetic testing company 23andMe, following a 2023 data breach that compromised the genetic data of 6.9 million consumers worldwide.

According to AG Sunday, this $18 million bankruptcy claim settlement was done in conjunction with a coalition of 42 states. Of the multi-million-dollar settlement, Pennsylvania will receive $492,902.
