AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT THURSDAY AND FRIDAY

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code PURPLE Air Quality Alert for all of Central Pennsylvania for Friday, July 17th.

A Code Purple alert is issued when the Air Quality Index (AQI) exceeds 201, signaling very unhealthy air conditions

Wildfire smoke from Ontario Canada and Minnesota will enter the Commonwealth from north to south and linger through Friday. Everyone may experience health effects.
