District 9 Releases 2026 Softball/Baseball Playoff Bracket

No. 2 seed Moniteau will play No. 7 Smethport at 6:30 p.m. on May 19 at Slippery Rock University’s Critchfield Park.
No. 3 Curwensville will host No. 6 Cranberry in another first-round game.
The semifinals will be played on May 21 with the final scheduled for Memorial Day at Showers Field in DuBois at a time to be determined.
In Class A, Clarion received the top seed and the first-round bye that went with it.
The Bobcats will await the winner of No. 5 Coudersport at No. 4 Port Allegany at 4 p.m. on May 21 in St. Marys.
The Coudersport vs. Port Allegany game will be played at 4 p.m. on May 19.
In the other semifinal on May 21, third seed Elk County Catholic will take on No. 2 DuBois Central Catholic on 4 p.m. at Brockway.
The final will be played on Memorial Day at Showers Field. Time to be determined.
In Class 3A, to-seeded Brookville will take on No. 4 Union/A-C Valley at 6:30 p.m. on May 18 at Stern Field in DuBois.
The other semifinal game pits No. 2 Karns City vs. No. 3 St. Marys at 4:30 p.m. on May 18, also at Stern Field.
The final is scheduled for 4 p.m. on May 20 at Showers Field.
In Class 4A, Punxsutawney will take on Clearfield for the title at 6:30 p.m. on May 20 at Showers Field.
In Class 5A, DuBois will take on Allderdice at 4 p.m. on May 20 in a subregional game at Greenway Field in Pittsburgh.
SOFTBALL
Top seed Karns City will take on St. Marys for the Class 3A championship on Memorial Day at Heindl Field in DuBois. Time for that game is to be determined.
In Class 2A, fourth-seed Keystone will host No. 5 Forest Area at 4 p.m. on May 18.
The winner will take on No. 1 seed Brockway on May 20 in the semifinals at a site and time to be determined.
The other semifinal pits No. 2 Cranberry vs. No. 3 Moniteau on May 20, also at a site and time to be determined.
In Class 4A, Punxsutawney and Clearfield will battle for the championship on Memorial Day at Heindl Field. Time for that game is still to be determined.
In Class A, top seed DuBois Central Catholic and No. 2 seed Northern Potter each received a first-round bye.
On May 18, No. 4 Port Allegany will host No. 5 Elk County Catholic as 4 p.m. and No. 3 Curwensville will host No. 6 Otto-Eldred.
The Port Allegany-Elk County Catholic winner will face DCC.
