Elk County Church Opposes Plan For Trash Train Line In Horton Township

A landfill owner in Elk County is seeking federal approval to build a trash train rail line through a local township.

The proposed line would run through Horton Township and allow out-of-state trash to be shipped by train to the Greentree Landfill in Fox Township.

Of those impacted, the Bishop of First Apostles Church, Jack Wisor, says he's against the plan because the rail line would run through church property.
