Elk County Fair Seeking Applicants For Queen, Junior Queen And Princess

Elk County Fair is seeking contestants for the annual Queen, Junior Queen and Princess contest at the 2026 Elk County Fair.

Our Fair Queen Court is made up of three young ladies who represent our fair as ambassadors. The most fun part of the experience is getting to know all of the people in our community more closely, and getting to attend the fair all week!

The Queen Court has three titles for ages 7-20, as of June 1st! They are as follows

Princess-7-10

Junior Queen- 11-15

Queen-16-20

The Junior Queen and Princess will be awarded $25 and the Queen will get a premium of $300.

They must be residents of Pennsylvania.

Judging will be held on Thursday, August 6th at 6pm at the Fairgrounds. Judging information:

Princess (7-10): The princess contestant will be judged on a 5 minute interview.

Junior Queen (11-15): The Junior Queen will be judged on a 5 minute interview AND a 2-3 minute speech on “My Favorite Thing About the Elk County Fair.”

Queen (16-20): The Queen will be judged on a 5 minute interview, a 300 word or less essay on the topic of “What the Fair Means to my Community”, and a 3-5 minute speech on “Why you Should Come to the Elk County Fair”.

Running for Fair Queen and her Court is a great opportunity. The program helps young ladies to gain leadership skills, learn about their community, build confidence, and most of all have fun! The experience is a great resume booster as well for the older girls!
