Elk County Man Found Guilty In Plot To Kill Ex-Wife

A jury found an Elk County man guilty of two charges in connection to a plot to have his ex-wife killed. David Vanatta, Jr., 50, of Wilcox was found guilty of two first degree felony charges including Criminal Solicitation to Commit Criminal Homicide and Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Criminal Homicide. Vanatta admitted to police that he had paid a man to kill his ex-wife and that the transaction took place at his house in Jones Township. Vanatta is now being held at the Elk County Prison, where he awaits sentencing within the next 60 day
