Gerald J. DeSantis Jr., 65, of Spring Creek, passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born on June 15, 1960, in Pittsburgh, the son of Lorraine C. Shopes DeSantis and the late Gerald J. DeSantis Sr.
Gerry was a devoted sports fan who rarely missed a game. He proudly cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates, sharing that passion with family and friends throughout the years.
Gerry found his greatest happiness in the outdoors-whether hunting in the early morning woods or casting a line into a quiet stream. Nature was his place of peace, and many of his best memories were made there. He worked for 30 years as a plumber, known for his dedication, reliability, and willingness to help others.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by 2 sons, Jason and Jamie DeSantis, both of Ridgway, 3 grandchildren, Mason, Cash, and Camden, and a soon to be grandson, Graysen. He is also survived by a sister, Susan Gnan and her husband Mark of Ridgway, a brother, John DeSantis and his wife Linda of Harmony, a niece, Paula DeSantis of Ridgway, and 2 great nieces, Elaysia and Ahalona.
Funeral services for Gerald J. DeSantis are being held privately by the family.
